When Zinc Wellness approached us, the goal was to design a commercial sauna that enhances the overall wellness journey. The challenge was to create a space that feels open, inviting, and functional for a high-traffic environment, while delivering the intensity and depth of a true sauna experience. We explored the site, traffic flow, and user experience, considering how the room would support multiple users without compromising heat performance. The result was a layout that maximizes space efficiency while maintaining a warm, immersive atmosphere for relaxation and recovery.
This sauna is built for performance, durability, and a premium feel. Clad in thermo-alder timber and fitted with custom benching, the interior is designed to balance comfort with long-lasting quality. Heating is delivered via a Harvia Legend Pro with 220kg of stones, creating deep thermal mass and rich, rolling steam. The room integrates thoughtfully placed ventilation points to ensure fresh airflow and consistent heat distribution, and lighting and sound systems—including IP65 dimmable LED lighting and Bluetooth sound tailored for a high-end wellness experience. Every element, from timber choice to fixture placement, is selected to support daily use in a commercial environment and to stand the test of time.
More than a sauna, this installation is an integral part of Zinc Wellness's offering, providing a space for clients to decompress, restore, and recharge. The room’s design encourages longer sessions with carefully considered seating, accessible controls, and consistent heat performance. The sauna complements the facility’s holistic approach to wellness, creating an environment where recovery is seamless and enjoyable. Completed in just four weeks, this project exemplifies how thoughtfl design, premium materials, and expert craftsmanship can elevate a commercial wellness space.
