At P3 Recovery in Moore Park, the sauna sits at the heart of the recovery area, behind a wall of bronze glass that shows off the warm cedar glow before members even step inside. The room is lined throughout in Western Red Cedar, with concealed LED lighting behind the backrests washing the timber in soft, even light.
Two Harvia 13.5 kW heaters share the load, so the room recovers its heat quickly between sessions, even with the door opening all day. Both are run from a Harvia Wi-Fi controller, so the team can set and monitor the sauna without walking in. Each heater sits inside a custom cedar guard made in our workshop, keeping guests clear of the hot stones while preserving the all-timber look.

A double-tier, U-shaped bench wraps three walls, giving every guest the choice of gentler heat on the lower tier or deeper heat up top.
The challenge: one corner of the room wasn't square. Rather than force a standard bench into an imperfect space, we measured on site and custom-fitted the bench to the walls, so the joints sit tight and the lines read straight from the doorway.
Western Red Cedar was chosen for its stability in constant heat, its natural aroma and the warm tone it holds under low lighting.

The front of the sauna is finished in bronze-tinted glass, giving the recovery area a clean, modern frontage while keeping the room visually connected to the rest of the studio.
From start to finish, the build took five weeks: designed and made in our Port Kembla workshop, then installed by our own team.
