Made-to-measure saunas for Sydney homes, from ensuite conversions to backyard retreats. Designed around your space, built in our Port Kembla workshop and installed by our own carpenters.
Most Sydney homes don’t have a spare square room waiting for a kit sauna. Spaces are tight, ceilings slope, and the sauna often has to share a wall with a bathroom, laundry or garage.
We start with the space you have. Every TimberHaus sauna is drawn to the millimetre, with bench layout, heater position, lighting and ventilation planned together. The timber is cut and finished in our workshop, then installed on site by the same team.
The result is a sauna that looks like it was always part of the home and heats the way it should.
Timber-lined rooms with a Harvia heater and stones for proper löyly. Ideal for ensuites, spare rooms and home gyms.
Gentle infrared heat, or infrared combined with a traditional heater, for compact rooms and everyday use.
Free-standing cabins and barrel saunas for the backyard, poolside or beside a cold plunge.
Tiled steam rooms and steam generators, designed alongside your bathroom or wellness space.
Tell us about your space with the sauna planner or a call. We’ll talk through size, heat type and budget.
We measure up and design the layout, timber, heater, lighting and ventilation as one.
Your sauna is made to measure in our Port Kembla workshop, then installed by our own carpenters.
We hand over, show you how to get the best from it, and stay on hand for servicing.
Our workshop is in Port Kembla, an easy run up to Sydney. We regularly design and install in:

Nathan & Julie, Recovery Base
“A stunning Western Red Cedar traditional sauna for our wellness centre.”
Jodie Testrow, Zinc Wellness
It depends on size, heat type, timber and how much building work the space needs. Every TimberHaus sauna is quoted to your room. The quickest way to a ballpark is the two-minute sauna planner, and we’ll come back with options for your budget.
Most home saunas take 4–8 weeks from first consultation to installation. Installation on site usually takes days, not weeks, because the sauna is made in our workshop first.
Yes. Ensuites, spare bedrooms, under-stair spaces, garages and home gyms are all common. We design around sloping ceilings, windows and shared walls.
Traditional saunas heat the air and stones for a hotter, more social experience with steam. Infrared warms you directly at a lower air temperature. Hybrid saunas give you both. We’ll help you choose based on how you’ll use it.
Most traditional heaters need a dedicated circuit installed by a licensed electrician. We specify the heater and its supply requirements during design so your electrician knows exactly what’s needed.
It depends on the project. An indoor sauna within an existing home is often internal work, while outdoor saunas may need approval depending on size and placement. We’ll flag what’s likely needed early and work with your builder or certifier.
