Custom saunas, infrared rooms and contrast therapy spaces for recovery studios, gyms and wellness centres. Designed around your session bookings, made in our Port Kembla workshop and installed by our own team.
In a recovery studio the sauna is the anchor of the session. Members move from heat to cold plunge and back again, often in groups, and often at the same times every day. The sauna has to be hot when the booking starts, stay hot with the door opening, and be ready again for the next group.
We plan the room around how your studio runs: how many people per session, how long each booking is, and how people move between the sauna, the plunge and the showers. Heater, benches, ventilation, lighting and controls are designed together, then the sauna is made in our workshop and installed by our own carpenters.
We work directly with studio owners, or alongside your builder, architect and fit-out team.
Social group sessions with real löyly. Commercial heaters with the stone mass to hold heat all day.
Lower-temperature private or small-group rooms. Full-spectrum and carbon emitters built into custom timber.
Sauna planned beside your ice bath or cold plunge, so the hot-cold circuit flows in a few steps.
Steam rooms to round out a premium recovery or spa offer, coordinated with your waterproofing and services.
“Excellent communication, outstanding craftsmanship, and a smooth, stress-free process.”
Nathan & Julie, Recovery Base
“It’s an absolute showstopper. Everyone who sees it is blown away… The quality is incredible. It’s the heart of the studio and such a statement piece.”
Jess, Cedar Recovery

Handover, staff guidance on running the room, and ongoing servicing.
Every recovery sauna is quoted to the project. Room size, capacity, heater, timber and the building work around the sauna all affect the price. Send us your floor plan or use the planner and we’ll come back with options.
Many studios offer both. A traditional sauna suits social group sessions and higher heat. Infrared rooms run at lower temperatures and suit private or small-group bookings. We’ll help you choose based on your members and booking model.
Yes. We plan the sauna as part of the hot-cold circuit and coordinate with your plunge supplier, builder and plumber on layout, drainage and waterproofing. At Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury the infrared sauna sits inside a contrast room beside the ice bath.
We design around your session size. Bench length and tiers set the seating, then the heater is sized to the room volume so it holds temperature with every seat full.
Because the sauna is made in our workshop first, time on site is short. Cedar Recovery was installed in three weeks, and Recovery Base, Zinc Wellness and Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury in about four. We plan around your fit-out and opening date.
Yes. We’re based in Port Kembla and work across Sydney, the Illawarra and the South Coast, and we’ve delivered commercial saunas interstate, including Zinc Wellness in Bunbury, WA.
